12th Annual Elizabeth Dunaway Burnham Piano Festival

Victor Rosenbaum and Sachiko Kato play Brahms, Debussy, Ravel and Schubert. Tickets: $18 advance, $20 door, $5 student, series $30 Tickets go on sale on this website September 14.

This year’s Festival features the music of the master composers of Austria, Germany and France, as performed by two international artists, Boston’s Victor Rosenbaum on Friday, October 5th, and New York’s Sachiko Kato on Friday October 12th, both at 7:30 pm.

The Festival also includes an afternoon performance by Southern Maine’s finest young pianists in the Student Piano Recital,  Sunday, October 7th at 3:00 pm.  Admission to this performance is free.

The Festival honors the memory of Elizabeth Dunaway Burnham, founder and first chairperson of Ogunquit Performing Arts.  A pianist herself, Betty studied, performed and taught piano for most of her life.  She also saw to it that OPA acquired its spectacular Steinway Concert Model C Grand Piano, which still remains OPA’ greatest treasure.
